Connectors

In order to create safe lanes or load-bearing surfaces from floor protection or driving plates, you need suitable connectors. These are available from us in different variants, which differ in material and use. You will find more information in the text below. Connector for the safe combination of road and ground protection plates

Plastic road plates are used wherever vehicles have to pass over impassable terrain. So that construction vehicles can drive on construction areas, weather-resistant plastic plates are laid out to create a passable surface. If larger areas have to be laid out with a floor that can be walked on, such as at festivals or similar events, ground protection panels are used, which are also suitable for creating contiguous areas.

Special connectors for road and ground protection plates ensure a secure hold between the individual mats. These are available from us in different variants, which differ in material and use.

What types of connectors are available?

Connecting clamp

Connection clamps can be used to connect two drive plates at a time. The clamps are simply hooked into the handles of the plates. These connectors are primarily suitable for setting up roadways.

Double- and quadruple-screw connector

Models such as the double- and quadruple-screw connectors are also used for the full-surface laying of plates. For this purpose, the connectors are pushed under the corner holes and fixed with screws from above.

Double and quadruple cramp connector

Double cramp connectors are hooked into the corner holes at a 90° angle to combine two plates. Quadruple cramp connectors work on the same principle, but can join four plates together and are also suitable for full-surface laying.

Cable ties

Road plate cable ties are reminiscent of cable ties in their shape and mode of operation. They can be passed through the corner holes or the handles of floor protection and driving plates, thus connecting two plates.

Earth hook

Earth hooks not only fix two plates, but also attach them to the ground.

What material are the connectors made of?

Our connectors differ in shape and also in materials. This makes them suitable not only for different purposes, but also for different substrates.

Connector clamps are made of galvanized steel. Double screw connectors and quadruple screw connectors are made of plastic. This makes them particularly suitable for delicate substrates. Staple connectors made of galvanized steel are particularly recommended for use on solid and fastened substrates. Plastic ties are suitable for the quick connection of road plates. However, care must be taken to ensure that the load is as low as possible. Ground hooks are made of steel, the standard material in mechanical engineering. Steel is a strong material with high hardness.

Unlike conventional steel, galvanized steel is resistant to corrosion. Due to the protective galvanized surface, the material is very durable. Connectors made of plastic have the advantage of not leaving damage on delicate surfaces. In addition, products made of plastic have a lower weight than products made of steel or galvanized steel.

What other accessories are available for road and ground protection plates?

Storage boxes for safe transport and practical storage of driving plates complete our offer in this area. Our transport boxes are made of galvanized steel, which convinces with stability and durability. Resistant to heat and frost, the boxes can also be stacked for space-saving storage.

Many of our road and ground protection plates are available in a set with matching box and connecting clamps.
