The plastic mats are resistant to breakage, water, acid and urine. The floor is warmer and more elastic than, for example, concrete floor, which means greater well-being for the animals, such as horses. Other positive features are the sound-absorbing and insulating properties and the long service life. The panels are easy to clean, non-slip and also easy to install due to their light weight.
Another advantage of using stall mats is their cost-effectiveness. With the plastic sheets as stall mats, you need about 50-70% less litter, which at the same time means lower purchase and disposal costs and less manure. This also reduces the dust load in the stable or playpen and improves the indoor climate.
In the stable gangway and riding arena, a non-slip and abrasion-resistant floor is often required so that the risk of injury to the animal is minimized and the joints are protected.
