Curbs and sharp edges can be driven over gently with heavy-duty wedges from LuxTek. Thereby the drive-over wedges made of robust PE-HD plastic are loadable up to 50t. LuxTek heavy-duty plastic wedges are used wherever challenging spots with height differences need to be bridged. Obstacles such as sharp edges are smoothed out so that steps and curbs can be safely crossed without damaging your tires. With our plastic wedges, height differences of up to 100 millimeters can be bridged. For larger height variations, we recommend our plastic ramps.
The quality of our products is ensured, among other things, through ongoing material testing by TÜV Rheinland Industrie Service GmbH. Our heavy-duty wedges are manufactured in Germany using a special pressing process – in accordance with DIN and ISO standards.
One advantage of heavy-duty wedges made of plastic is their low weight. Unlike wedges made of wood or aluminum, a plastic wedge measuring one meter in width, three centimeters in height, and 25 centimeters in depth weighs less than four kilograms. This makes the wedges particularly easy to handle. Their use is extremely straightforward: they are simply placed in front of the step to be overcome or in front of and behind the drive wheels of vehicles that need to be secured.
The load-bearing capacity of such a wedge – assuming a solid surface – is up to 50 tons, making it ideal for use with trucks and heavy machinery.
The plastic used, which is the same material we use for our heavy-duty ground protection mats, is extremely weather-resistant and durable, allowing the wedges to be stored both indoors and outdoors without any issues.

You can choose both wider and narrower wedges, with the minimum width of our heavy-duty wedges starting at just 20 centimeters.
Size selection is just one way to customize your plastic wedges. You can also add additional handles to the standard milled grips. To achieve greater slip resistance, the heavy-duty wedges can be manufactured with extra grooves, a specially roughened surface, or a rubber coating on the underside. It is also possible to integrate reflectors, which can be attached to the wedges to ensure better visibility in poor lighting conditions.
